Meet the Committee
I’m Debbie and I am the chairperson of Hanslope Pre-school.
A bit about me, after A-levels, more years ago than I like to think about, I went to work for a marketing agency who deliver Performance Improvement programmes and large events for corporate businesses across Europe. This turned in to a seventeen year career eventually seeing me become a Client Relationship Director responsible for using motivational theory to help multi-national businesses achieve their goals through various mediums and for overseeing large conferences and incentive travel programmes all over the world.
The challenging role I was fortunate to have gave me a passion for travel, great food and working to help fantastic businesses succeed. I left to set up a consultancy helping businesses deploy incentive schemes which I did for a short while until I had our wonderful boys and took a career break.
Our boys are 2 and 4, one has just left Hanslope Pre-school and the other has just started and is loving it. I’m originally from Hanslope and the village Pre-school holds a lot of history and importance for me personally. I’m really enjoying being on the committee with a lovely group of people who all want to see the Pre-school thrive for many years to come.
My name is Gillian and I am a mother to two lovely children. I have Jacob who's 6 in Hanslope Primary and Molly who's nearly 3 at Hanslope Pre-school.
I have been on the Pre-school committee for three years and this year became the secretary.
I am very excited for the changes that have happened and for our lovely team.
Hi, I’m Lance and I’m the Treasurer.
I have two boys - one who currently attends the Pre-school and another who will start when he’s old enough.
In my professional life I’m a Finance Manager in the construction industry, allowing me to bring my financial background to the Committee.
It’s great to be working with a team who is committed to ensuring the Pre-school helps our children get the best possible start, and ensuring it is there for many years to come.
Hello! I am mum to Olive, who is 3, and Hugo, who is 7.
We live in Castlethorpe and are new to the Pre-school after our village one closed down.
Olive is loving Pre-school and really thriving there.
I joined the committee because I wanted to get more involved.
Before having children, I was a nurse and I may return to that one day. But for now, in my spare time, I am a Parks Trust volunteer where I am a warden at the Floodplains nature reserve and I help out at Tree Tots, an outdoor learning group for Pre-schoolers. I also set up and run the Castlethorpe Little Free Library.
My name is Gemma and I have lived in Hanslope most of my life, I enjoy being a part of such a great community.
When my 2 year old son joined the Pre-school in September I wanted to help so I joined the committee and it's been fun getting involved with such an amazing group!
Hanslope Pre-school holds a lot of happy memories for me as I also attended the Pre-school as a child.
I am excited to meet you all and be a part of the team here at the Pre-school.
I am a busy mum of two boys. Eli is 3 and started Hanslope Pre-school in September, and he absolutely loves going.
My youngest son Jack is 7 months old.
I have lived in Hanslope for 5 years now, and my husband has lived here for most of his life. He even attended the Pre-school.
I am thoroughly enjoying living in Hanslope, it has such a welcoming and inclusive community spirit.
A little bit about me.....I trained at Trinity College of Music in Greenwich, London and my principal study was the saxophone. I now work as a peripatetic woodwind instructor and currently work for Northamptonshire Music & Performing Arts Trust, travelling between primary and secondary schools in Wellingborough. I have a passion for music education and am keen to help support the Pre-school as best I can.
I look forward to meeting you all, and am thrilled to be part of the incredible team at Hanslope Pre-school.
