Hanslope Pre-School is seeking an exceptional Early Years leader to become our next Practice Manager.

 

Following a successful move from our former village hall premises to a dedicated site on the grounds of Hanslope Primary School, we are entering an exciting new phase of growth and development. Significant investment has been secured to transform our outdoor learning environment, resources and facilities, creating a unique opportunity for an ambitious Practice Manager to help shape the future of our setting.

 

We are proud to be a friendly, inclusive and community-focused Preschool serving children and families from Hanslope and surrounding villages. Our dedicated staff team, supportive Committee and engaged families work together to ensure every child receives the very best start in life.

 

As Practice Manager, you will provide inspirational leadership for the setting, ensuring outstanding standards of care, learning, safeguarding and operational management whilst supporting children, families and staff to thrive.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about delivering high-quality Early Years education

  • Holds a full and relevant Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above

  • Has experience leading or supervising staff within an Early Years setting

  • Has excellent knowledge of the EYFS Framework and safeguarding requirements

  • Can inspire, motivate and develop a team

  • Builds positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and external professionals

  • Has the ambition and vision to help lead the next stage of our development

Hanslope Pre-School is a warm, welcoming and highly regarded charity-run setting at the heart of our village community. We provide excellent early years education for children aged 2–4 years and are committed to creating an environment where children can thrive, explore and develop a lifelong love of learning.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and motivated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in children's lives and who shares our commitment to high-quality early years practice.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Providing outstanding care, learning and support for children aged 2–4 years.

  • Planning and delivering engaging, child-led learning experiences in line with the EYFS.

  • Acting as a key person and building strong relationships with children and their families.

  • Supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing through observation and assessment.

  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment both indoors and outdoors.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of practice.

  • Contributing to our exciting outdoor learning and Forest School-inspired approach.

 

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised by the Department for Education.

  • Experience of working with children in an early years setting.

  • Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A warm, positive and nurturing approach.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Paediatric First Aid qualification.

  • Experience as a key person.

  • Knowledge of child development and inclusive practice.

  • Experience of outdoor learning or Forest School approaches.

  • Understanding of supporting children with additional needs.
